One AI credit is US$0.0001 of the AI provider’s list price. A typical text capture uses about 5 credits, so 20,000 credits cover about 4,000 captures and the trial’s 2,000 about 400. Reading a screenshot or writing a summary uses about 15.
Voice capture uses your browser’s own speech recognition when it has one, which uses no credits. In browsers without it, Tiko.day turns the recording (up to a minute) into text with Google Gemini: on the trial and the AI plan this uses credits (about 5 for a short note, about 30 for a full minute), on Basic it counts as an AI use, and with your own OpenAI, Gemini or OpenRouter key it uses none. Recordings are not kept.
With your own key, summaries have no daily limit. When credits or AI uses run out, capture switches to rule-based parsing and summaries are made without AI.
On every plan, the trial included: Google Calendar and Google Tasks sync, use without Google, rule-based capture in English and Chinese, deadline warnings, recurring items, notes, a calendar subscription link (.ics) and export to JSON or .ics.
When the trial ends without a plan, your account becomes read-only: everything stays readable and exportable, and the calendar link keeps working. Adding and editing come back as soon as you choose a plan.
